Q&A

Will I get a charitable donation acknowledgement letter to file with my tax return?

Yes. We have a 503(1)c tax exempt status.

What if I cannot donate a large amount of money?

Any amount will be of great help. Just $7.49 dollars can buy a Tablet Holder for a child.

How will your charity spend my money?

The Foundation is a volunteer based organization. All donations directly benefit the children sponsored by the Foundation. The largest percentage of all donations is used to purchase necessary equipment, while some money are also spent on shipment of large packages.

How does the Foundation select the children it sponsors?

We connect with both specialists and individual families. The Foundation also sends a supervisor to visit each family or organization to confirm and assess the situation.

How do your experts decide what equipment is needed?

Based on our evaluation of the situation and condition of each individual child, as well as the knowledge and experience of partnering specialists, we determine the most fitting equipment.

What happens after the child receives your help?

We monitor the children sponsored by the Foundation in order to collect data, assess the choice of equipment and make any changes if required.

What if any given equipment gets lost, stolen or broken?

We replace or fix it depending on time, costs, and causes with the least amount and stress to our clients.

What if equipment purchased for a child does not match his/her needs?

The device is returned to the Foundation in order to be sent to another child in need of the given equipment. We then go through another evaluation of our client keeping in mind what we had learned from the previous choice of equipment.

I would like to volunteer for the Foundation. How can I help?

You can contact Irina Kuznetsova at info@orangepenguin.org or +1 (203) 912 57 88. Volunteers are always needed. There is always something that can be done, whether helping out at our events or transporting equipment.
